“I’m not going to lie. I was a little intimidated to try CrossFit. I was afraid I wasn’t a strong enough athlete, and I heard that CrossFiit lead to injuries. But my old workout routine was starting to feel like a chore, so I decided I needed a change. I joined Union Fitness a little over a year ago now and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. All of my concerns were immediately put to rest. The workouts are easy to scale. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and teach you how to do all the movements safely. They’re also really fun and motivating. I swear, Paul Begich was more excited when I did my first set of five kipping pull-ups than I was. And to top it all off, the members are all really friendly and supportive.” Doug Svacina recently completed Union Fitness’ Nutrition Challenge and dropped his body fat percentage by seven percent!
“I’m so glad that I chose Crossfit Minneapolis as my crossfit gym for the summer, my experience here went beyond my expectations. I like the gym, the community, the programming, but the thing I’ve liked the most are the coaches. I’ve learned so much on techniques and strategies thanks to the time and dedication all the coaches put on every class. I seriously don’t know how I’m going back to my coaches back home after having you guys train me. It’s been really nice to be part of the union fitness community and hopefully I’ll be back in a couple of months.”
My wife and I have been loving the CrossFit Minneapolis morning classes! It took a little while for our bodies to get used to the increase in workout intensity. In less than three months I can see more muscle definition. Our WOD times are getting better and we are starting to lift heavier and heavier weight. The trainers have all been great, they are always willing to help if one of us needs help scaling a workout.
“Going to the box is the highlight of my day. The workouts themselves are tough, but I feel myself not only getting stronger, but learning to challenge myself more and more. The best part is the community aspect, though. The other members and coaches motivate, encourage, and push everyone, making it all worth it. CrossFit has completely changed my approach to fitness. My motivation to increase my overall health is stronger than ever and CrossFit has pushed me to compete with myself everyday.”
What I love about Union is that all three gyms come together as one huge family. I love that there is a variety of coaches that all have their own flavor, but you get the same high quality coaching each time. I never leave feeling defeated or bad about my WOD, it’s actually the exact opposite of that, no matter what my time was or whether or not I Rx – that experience keeps me wanting to come back and excited for more. Everyone is always smiling and friendly and embrace newcomers instantly. That is a huge reflection of the coaches and Union culture.
“I have worked out with Orange Theory, Kosama and tried CrossFit at another location. None of those places provided the workout or more important the professionalism of the instructors at Union Fitness. The thing thing that impresses me the most is how much time is spent on form and understanding the fundamentals. I truly look forward to every workout.”
“Since I joined CrossFit Minneapolis, I’ve gotten stronger, improved technique (slightly), and am in the best shape of my life. More importantly, I’ve made friends with such a diverse crew. Where else would I meet a white tanker truck driver and an incoherent Welsh optician?”
“When I started Crossfit, I weighed 306 lbs, and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do it. The coaches at CrossFit St. Paul were great at showing me how to scale the workouts to my ability, and now I feel like I get better every time I go! In 8 weeks, I am down 30 lbs!”
“What’s not to love about Union Fitness– I couldn’t ask for a more supportive community to push myself beyond what I think possible. Everyday I show up and “Do Real Work” I become a better, stronger, more functionally fit person.”
“When I showed up at Crossfit Saint Paul I was a broken individual… I was 292 pounds and my fiance of 5 plus years had broken up with me over the phone. Good feelings were not something that were plentiful in my life. I made a decision. I started watching what I ate and made the commitment to the Level One Class. The changes I have seen in my body has been incredible! I have dropped 60 plus pounds and am in some of the best shape of my life. The workouts are hard and sometimes unpleasant, but the self confidence and pride that it has given me is immeasurable. In short, I cannot express the gratitude that I feel towards Union fitness for helping me be better. I finally feel like I am slipping into my true self!”
“I’ve been involved with CrossFit for over six years and have hit well over one hundred boxes around the world. However, I really enjoy coming to CrossFit Minneapolis. The coaches, programming, and athletes are top notch!”
“Union Fitness is the premier wellness establishment of the greater midwest. Generously outfitted, clean and welcoming facilities is only the beginning… in a few words their many class offerings taught by the best in the industry have created a fun, energetic atmosphere I look forward to everyday. I wouldn’t train anywhere else.”
“If you want to be a better you, this is the place to train – trust me. Everyone here is passionate about what they do – coaches included. Doing the work is up to you, but Union Fitness will give you everything you need to be successful.”
“Community is a huge part of Crossfit, and at Union Fitness it starts with the phenomenal coaching staff. As an athlete who often has to scale workouts, I rely heavily on my coaches to help me modify movements in a way that will help me gain strength and push my limits physically, all while keeping me safe and injury-free. Though they are all accomplished athletes themselves, the coaches never fail to get excited over an athlete’s progress, whether it’s a small, 5 pound personal record or the mastery of a new movement. I’ve grown both as an athlete and a person under their watch, and I’m lucky to call each of them Coach!”
