CrossFit Level 1 | Coach/Trainer
Persistence, consistency, grit, and passion are pillars that have cultivated my CrossFit journey. I discovered CrossFit in June of 2012 after seeing Rich Froning win the games. Before that I was a hopeful college athlete playing competitive baseball and basketball for the better part of my life. Sports and competition were the only things that mattered to me. When I was 16 I tore my ACL and was unable to play varsity as a junior. When I tried out they chose to pass me up – no more sports. Discovering CrossFit changed my life forever. It gave me the competitive atmosphere that only I was in control of. I took my genuine curiosity for fitness and nutrition and applied it to training others. Over the years I have personally trained 6 people, with the most successful person being my sister. She has lost 86lbs since November of 2017 and is a healthier and happier person.
I CrossFit because I believe in practicing functional movement, pushing my limits every day, and encouraging others to want more. CrossFit yields physical adaptations like no other form of fitness, while providing a community that is indescribable. Very few people every find out the maximum potential of their body in their life. At CrossFit, we get to test that every day. I love the challenge, I love the pain, and I love the grind. To me there’s nothing like it.
I coach because I have a genuine passion for people and I believe that fitness changes lives. I want to help people achieve more than they could ever expect. Unveiling that all things are possible with hard work, good nutrition, and a positive mindset can reverse the devastating trend of chronic disease. People want to make the change, and it is our job as coaches to ignite the flame, get them in the right positions, and motivate athletes to be all that they can.
