Broad jumps start in the standing position, pass through the bottom of a squat, include a complete hip extension and is received in the bottom of the next squat. A squat, with a pause at the top, followed by a jump does not count. Athletes must must fluidly from the bottom of a squat through the entire drive phase of the movement for the rep to count. During broad jumps, hands should be clasped behind the head.
